Free Spirit Sisters (FSS) Cigar Box Swap on FB - Tea Time theme- May/June

for the month of May/June in the FSS group the theme was Tea Time.
i had soooo much fun w/ this theme, as i LOVE tea parties !!

i hope to one day have my own Tea Room/Scrap room space....
where not only can you have an afternoon tea party/breakfast/lunch/desert, BUT
also be able to scrap/craft in the room next door.
it would be the best of both worlds for me, my 2 fave things to do.

so when this theme came up i jumped at the chance to let my tea mania come out...
my SS is awesome, and i had soo much fun creating for her.
i challenged myself to only use supplies i already
had....since i have alot. wasnt easy, but i think i did ok  :)

1st the card...
i used a pearly lavender card stock that i received from a
swap awhile ago.
i also used a stamp i received from another swap,
which i felt was appropriate.
added some bling and some Prima lavender cabbage roses.

on the inside i cut out the stacked tea cups using
my Cameo...i LOVE that they pop up when you
open the card.
i added some bling, and a colored Gorguss girl image i
received from a swap.

we have to create a 6x6 LO every swap to
be included in the package....the idea is after a yr
or whenever someone stops swapping, they will have
a mini album made up of all the Los made for them by
their SS from each round.....
so if you stay in the group and keep swapping, you will have
a HUGE album w/ tons of creative inspiration and styles from many
different ladies.

for my 6x6 LO i used PRIMA Nature's Garden 6x6 paper pad,
and backed it on chipboard to make it sturdy.
i cut the banner pieces spelling TEA from the same papers
using the banner punch from Hobby Lobby.
added pearl trim for the "string" of the banner, a charm, and
an awesome flower i did at a make n take.

the banner on the back says TIME.
pearl trim for the top of the banner, and
3 layers of lace at the bottom.

the challenge was to alter a TEA CUP.
i got a plane white tea cup, and using silver glittered rub ons
i decorated the cup myself.
trimmed the rim w/ lace and pearls.
charms, lace, pearls accent the bottom,
on top of some vintage silver embroidered lace.
the tea cup is glued to the saucer using E6000.

the top/inside of the tea cup i made into a pin cushion.
i included some handmade stick pins made my me, and
some from past swaps.

i altered the cigar box w/ white paint,
which i crackled.
i then did some molding paste on top of the paint.
lots of flowers pearls nestled around
the resin bench and bridge from PRIMA.

layered vintage lace and doilys on the inside.
the tea pot is a chipboard cut from
the Piece by Piece, which i decorated
with flowers and pearls.

i also created some extra projects
using my Silhouette Cameo.
i made this 3d teapot, which i lightly
decorated and included some tea bags inside.

also using my Sil Cameo i made these 3d tea cups,
which i stacked and filled w/ flowers.

the last thing i made was a library drawer filled
with tags and envelopes.
i made the drawer out of med weight chip board,
and covered it w/ papers from Primas 6x6 Nature Garden
papers.
the envelopes were made with a envelope MFT die
and the same Prima paper.

the tags are all from swaps i was in...i was saving them
for a special project... and so i used them to fill the drawer.

i decorated the front w/ flowers
and a knob from Michaels.

i had soooooo much fun creating all these projects for my Sis, and im sooooo glad she likes them.

thanks for stopping by.

hugs
